How to grow marijuana outdoors

Planting marijuana is inexpensive and does not require you to invest in any special equipment. However, you should ensure that your weed gets the necessary nutrients that will ensure it a healthy harvest. So, how should you grow your weed outdoors?

  • Choose the right strain

Firstly, you will need to find a strain that is bred for outdoor planting. Outdoor strains do not take long to flower and also they are resistant to humidity and mould.

  • Plant during spring

Spring provides the perfect weather to embark on the process of planting your weed. It is important to note that spring occurs at different of the year depending on your location of residence.

  • Find a good spot

Outdoor weed is best suited for warm conditions and thus you should find a spot where the plants will enjoy 4-6 hours of sunlight daily. Ensure that the marijuana plants are not surrounded by plants or structures that can block the sunlight from reaching the marijuana plantation.

  • Nurture the plants

Marijuana is certainly a very impressive plant as it does not require a lot of nurturing. After planting the seeds, the weed will grow by itself provided it is well exposed to the sunlight. However, it is important to water the plants regularly but avoid overwatering them. Only water the plants when you notice that the soil has dried up. To find out whether the soil is dry, feel the soil with the back of your hand and if it feels cold, then the soil still has some water.

If you plan to enhance the nutrient levels by using fertilizers, it is still recommendable. Fertilizers can be used after 3-4 weeks once the plant has benefited from the nutrients in the soil. When looking for a fertilizer to use for your marijuana, the best fertilizer to use is that which is purposely meant for marijuana since it contains the ideal composition of nutrients meant for cannabis. However, if you are looking at cost reduction, fertilizers used on food plants can also do the trick.

Marijuana is easy to grow but it also requires you to check on the plants regularly to ensure perfect growth conditions. Now that you know how to grow cannabis outdoor, nothing should stop you from smoking the best quality weed!
